Happy 4th of July!
As we gather to celebrate this significant day, let us remember the values of freedom, unity, and gratitude that underpin our great nation. We pray your day is filled with joy, togetherness, and reflection on the blessings we share. Let's honor the sacrifices made for our liberty and cherish the moments we have with loved ones. God bless you all and God bless America!
On Thursday, July 4th, the church offices will be closed so staff can celebrate with their families and friends.
Nerf & Nachos Night!
Are you ready for a fun evening out? The Family Ministries Group is planning a “Nerf & Nachos” night out. On Saturday, July 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., you’re invited to the Fellowship Hall for a Nerf challenge followed by loaded nachos! All church families, from families of 1 to families of more than 1 are invited! This all-church, all-family event is also open to the community. Babies in arms, toddlers, school-aged kiddos, teens, parents, and grandparents, we hope you can come and join in the fun! There is no cost to this event, just come!
CAC Meal Prep and Serve
WWPC serves a meal at the Christian Aid Center every 2nd Thursday of each month. Next gathering: July 11, 2024
Join other folks from WWPC preparing and/or serving meals. Please let the office know if you are interested and we'll connect you.
3 – 4 pm preparing 5-6 pm serving. They would love to have your help!
Car Wash - July 13
The Youth will have a car wash on Saturday, July 13 from 10:00 - 2:00 at O'Reilly's on 9th Avenue. The fundraiser is to start saving for a new church van. Tickets will be available for pre-sale at the welcome center after worship. Come and pick yours up! The suggested donation is $10.00 per ticket which is good for one vehicle.
Jazz & Faith - July 14
Save the date for our next Jazz & Faith worship time on Sunday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. G Louis Hemenway is lining up the guest musicians for the evening. Bring a comfy lawn chair and a cool drink as this month's worship will be outside on the lawn in the shade, weather permitting.

Camp Ghormley
Who wants to go to camp this summer? WWPC will be driving kids to Ghormley on these dates and a chaperone will accompany them. The cost and dates are listed below. Sign up for a week of fun and memories to last a lifetime!

STEM Night - July 27
Family Ministries is so excited to bring STEM night to WWPC! We’re still in the planning stages, however, we have the date and time so you can save the event on your calendar. It’s scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Dinner served at 5:30. Hope to see you there!
Pool Party! - August 10
Plan on joining us at the Memorial Pool on Saturday, August 10. We’re renting the shade tent and having a barbecue! Stay tuned for more details which are coming soon.
Jazz & Faith - Aug 11
Oh, what fun to have Jazz & Faith outside on the lawn in the shade! Bring your comfy lawn chair and snacks if you’d like. It’s from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Rally Sunday - August 25
Welcome back to church after your summer outings! We’re rallying this Sunday with a new sermon series, new studies for Sunday Schools and Youth Group and loads of food, fun and fellowship after worship. Come rally with us as we return to church!
WFB Returns August 28 @ 5:30
WFB is revving up for another season of dinner, fellowship around the table, and Pastor’s Bible Study. WFB is Wednesdays at First and Birch, a mid-week gathering for everyone. Be sure to come and join us, you’ll be glad you did!
Jazz & Faith - September 8
We’re planning on having this month’s Jazz & Faith outside on the lawn in the shade. Bring a lawn chair, snacks and a drink if you’d like. G. Louis and friends will be playing some beautiful music and there will be scriptures read. It’s happening outside in God’s wonderful creation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The ROCK for Kids
ROCK meets every Wednesday afternoon for kids from grades 1 through 5. We meet in the atrium and then head on up to the ROCK room in the CE building. There will be games, snacks, and a Bible lesson. Welcome to all 1st - 5th graders each Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Rock continues throughout the summer!
Youth Group - Sundays 4:00-6:00
Our youth meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. They gather for snacks, games, and a Bible lesson. Youth entering middle school up through high school seniors are invited. Bring your friends and have a great afternoon!
Friday Communion Vespers
Friday Communion Vespers will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Room. You are all invited to this service which uses traditional liturgy based on reformed theology and includes the sacrament of Communion.
